The Art School
Painting the Bluebell woods at Wemyss Castle. 5th and 6th May.
A two day intensive course painting the wonderful bluebells and woodland at beautiful Wemyss Castle in Fife. The castle is situated on the coast, not far from Kirkcaldy. It has an amazing walled garden designed by Charlotte Wemyss. We have had special permission from the Wemyss family to enable us to work in the castle grounds. A wonderful opportunity for all students of gardens, nature and painting.
We will be working on the larger scale. A chance to really express yourself with mixed media.
Please take your mixed media kit:
- Jam jars
- Paper towels
- Assortment of brushes
- Wax candle
- Oil pastels
- Inks. Coloured and black. Nice to have a green and blue in the range.
- Largest drawing board you can take.
I’ll supply large sheets of watercolour paper for you to work on, and will have certain other materials available for you to try. It will be an exciting two days, soaking up the atmosphere of the Bluebell Woods, and the intense colours of spring. Of course I will be demonstrating throughout the weekend.
Please take appropriate clothes for May/rain/sunshine. And something to sit on too!!
Please bring a Packed lunch. Teas and coffees and wicked treats are included!!
Cost for two days per student is £240
Deposit of £50 is payable on booking.
The remaining fee should be paid 2 days before the course starts. If for any reason, the weather is against us, we may have to reschedule. Hopefully this won’t happen. If this is the case, then a full refund will be given. Fingers crossed!! Look forward to hearing from you.
