September Landscape Course
Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th September 2026 9.30am–4.30pm
We will be dividing our time between the picturesque village of St Abbs and the beautiful sandy bay of Coldingham, with afternoon studio time to work further on the paintings. The afternoons will give us the opportunity to develop working sketches and paintings onto a larger scale and have a discussion around what we have achieved. Both places have cafes, but probably a good idea to take a packed lunch.
We will work with mixed media. Watercolour, gouache, inks and pastels. You will need a board and plenty of paper. A portable easel if you want. Both locations have benches.
Afternoons will be spent at Allanton village hall. Just a 20-25 minute drive from the coast. Tea, coffee and cake will be available.
Come and enjoy an autumnal day of landscape painting at Coldingham, on the Berwickshire Coast. A wide, sandy beach fringed with rocks and colourful beach huts.
We will work with mixed media. Watercolour, gouache, inks and pastels. You will need a board and plenty of paper. A portable easel if you want. There are benches at the location.
Come and paint the late summer colours of the October garden. Learn how to use watercolour, inks and pastels to make a free, colourful interpretation of the flowers.
If you would like to be tutored in how to draw the life model, then this is the class for you. You will be put through your paces in working to understand proportion, tone, movement and just looking to understand how a body is put together. Professional tuition with a professional model.
There are two sessions available, depending on how much time you have. At the moment, these are monthly classes.
