Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th September 2026 9.30am–4.30pm
We will be dividing our time between the picturesque village of St Abbs and the beautiful sandy bay of Coldingham, with afternoon studio time to work further on the paintings. The afternoons will give us the opportunity to develop working sketches and paintings onto a larger scale and have a discussion around what we have achieved. Both places have cafes, but probably a good idea to take a packed lunch.
We will work with mixed media. Watercolour, gouache, inks and pastels. You will need a board and plenty of paper. A portable easel if you want. Both locations have benches.
Afternoons will be spent at Allanton village hall. Just a 20-25 minute drive from the coast. Tea, coffee and cake will be available.
The hall has easy access into the studio space. Tea, coffee and cake are included but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Alternatively, The Allanton Inn also serves lunch.
This is a beautiful location in one of the finest Palladian Houses in the country. The River Tweed flows at the bottom of the garden and there is ample parking as well as a cafe serving delicious food and coffee.
